Popular actor Gaurav Gera, best known for his comedic role as Chutki on Comedy Nights with Kapil, has been basking in the spotlight ever since the release of Dhurandhar 2. The film’s massive success has brought renewed attention to Gaurav, especially after he shared a heartfelt piece of his past on social media.

On Sunday, Gaurav posted images of a handwritten letter on his Instagram, reflecting on his early struggles and resilience when he first moved to Mumbai from Delhi 28 years ago.

The Letter and Its Message

In the Instagram post, Gaurav captioned the letter with a nostalgic message:
“This letter to my parents – 3rd Dec 1998… less than a month that I moved to Mumbai this is 28 years ago… so no emails, just letters… of course after that lots tv, some films, ad films, musical play, radio, TikTok, Reels… been a lovely journey with ups and downs… God has been kind… but this Dhurandhared… dunno what future holds… but I wanna thank my 23-year-old self for staying hopeful, and Ma Pa for endless support.”

The letter begins with Gaurav updating his parents on his life in Mumbai, sharing his optimism despite financial struggles. He wrote: “Dear Mumma and Papa, How are you guys? I’m really well over here. Nothing has materialized on the money front for me, but I hope to do well soon. There’s a lot of work here compared to Delhi.

Gaurav also described the new financial challenges he was facing:“Other expenses include telephone, electricity, gas and water bills, and food. Mumma and Papa, the future is bright but I still have a lot to learn.” The letter paints a picture of a young man determined to make his dreams come true while relying on the unwavering support of his parents.
