Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane to Launch ‘Oh Flip Shorts’ Channel with Ravi Muppa’s Incognito

Acclaimed filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane have teamed up to present writer-director Ravi Muppa’s celebrated short film, Incognito.

Set to premiere on July 15, the psychological thriller will officially launch Oh Flip Shorts, a brand-new YouTube channel dedicated exclusively to short-form cinema. Backed by producer Ranjan Singh and curated by Kashyap, the platform aims to become a premium destination for groundbreaking indie filmmaking, dropping one curated title every month to foster a dedicated community for independent creators.

Festival Success & Plot Line

Incognito arrives on the digital stage following a highly decorated global festival run, screening at more than 20 international festivals, including the prestigious, Oscar-qualifying Palm Springs International ShortFest.

  • The Cast: The short stars Vikram Singh, Ayushi Nema, and Dev Chauhan.
  • The Premise: The film follows a cash-strapped motel receptionist who makes extra money by selling hidden-camera videos. His life spirals when he accidentally records a young girl in danger of being trafficked, forcing him to choose between saving her or protecting his own skin.

Filmmakers Weigh In

Anurag Kashyap: “I’ve always loved short films as they are the first stepping stone for a director to test their storytelling style and give them actual practice in shooting a story. Continuing the same, this is our effort to showcase some excellent short films, curated by me and presented by filmmakers whose work I look up to. We’re glad to begin with Incognito by Ravi Muppa…”

Vikramaditya Motwane: “Incognito is gripping and beautifully atmospheric, a true-blue genre short with an out-of-the-box ending. Congratulations to Ravi and his team, and I’m so happy that we can present this to the audience.”

From Short to Feature Film

Writer-director Ravi Muppa, who has previously worked on major projects like Stree, Bala, and The Family Man, views this digital release as a massive milestone. He also revealed that plans are already underway to scale up the narrative:

“The film has been an incredibly special journey… I’m especially excited that this is just the beginning, as we now look ahead to expanding Incognito into a feature.”

A feature-length adaptation of Incognito is currently in active development. The upcoming movie will be co-produced by Hollywood’s Invention Studios alongside Flip Films and Campfire Studios, with Anurag Kashyap, Nicholas Weinstock, Divya Souza, and Ranjan Singh serving as producers.
