Netflix India has officially announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated military drama, Operation Safed Sagar, which is set to stream exclusively starting August 7. Set against the backdrop of the 1999 Kargil War, the series chronicles the untold story of the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Golden Arrows Squadron, shining a light on the exceptional courage, strategic sacrifices, and raw determination of the personnel involved.
Rather than delivering a conventional battlefield narrative, the series focuses heavily on the human element, balancing large-scale aerial warfare with the deeply personal lives and choices of the pilots and their families.

The series brings together a powerhouse ensemble cast directed by Oni Sen and created by the fresh creative team of Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava.

The series was filmed across more than 100 distinct locations. Production crews shot scenes at grueling altitudes exceeding 16,000 feet to capture the authentic environment of the Kargil conflict. The show promises state-of-the-art visual effects and top-tier production values to realistically drop viewers right into the cockpits of supersonic fighter jets.
