White Peacock Films Announces Two Feature Films Ahead of Gudgudi Screening at Cannes 2026

As their debut short film Gudgudi gears up for its prestigious screening at the Cannes Film Festival today, May 20, 2026, filmmaker Manisha Makwana and producer Harshvardhan Patel of White Peacock Films have officially announced their next two feature film projects. This double-announcement marks a major milestone for the independent banner on the global stage.
The new slate showcases the production house’s intent to build a diverse and compelling storytelling portfolio across vastly different genres.
The Upcoming Feature Film Slate
- Folklore Thriller (Untitled): Directed by Manisha Makwana and written by Yuvraj Gadhvi, this project is centered around the chilling reality of witch-hunting. Rooted deeply in Indian folklore and harsh social realities, the film aims to blend atmospheric, eerie storytelling with a hard-hitting social narrative.
- Romantic Drama (Untitled): This feature will be directed by Amit Prem Mishra. For this project, Manisha Makwana will step into the role of producer alongside Harshvardhan Patel under the White Peacock Films banner.
A Major Milestone on the Global Stage
The timing of the announcement adds to the growing momentum for the creative team. Their short film Gudgudi, which stars popular actress Ahsaas Channa, has been generating significant buzz in festival circles leading up to its official Cannes screening.
