Collective Studios’ Historyverse Announces Original Series on Bhagat Singh

Collective Studios’ Historyverse has officially announced a new original series exploring the life of Indian freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. Created in association with Hathiramani Commercial Ventures, the project is co-produced by investor and entrepreneur Manish Hathiramani, marking his debut into film and television production.
Rather than focusing solely on the widely documented events of his martyrdom, the series aims to offer a fresh, humanizing perspective. Set against the backdrop of early 20th-century India, the story will delve into Bhagat Singh’s childhood, his formative experiences, and the social and political environment of his youth. It will trace how his reading habits, personal influences, and evolving convictions gradually transformed him from an inquisitive young man into a national icon.
Sudeep Lahiri, Head of Channels and Distribution at Collective Media Network, highlighted that behind the historical figure was a young thinker whose intellectual journey deserves closer attention. He noted that the collaboration seeks to bring new storytelling angles to a familiar historical narrative on an ambitious scale. Echoing this sentiment, Manish Hathiramani expressed his personal fascination with understanding the individual behind the legend and exploring the multifaceted journey that shaped his worldview.
The project is currently in development as part of Historyverse’s growing slate of historical and culturally rooted Indian content. Official details regarding the title, director, ensemble cast, and release platform will be announced by the studio in the coming months.
