R. Madhavan, Disha Patani, and Shriya Saran Join Akshay Kumar for Sajid Khan’s Next Comedy

Madhavan, Disha Patani, and Shriya Saran have officially joined the cast of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming, untitled comedy film, directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Ektaa R. Kapoor. Designed as an out-and-out comedy of errors centered around middle-aged men, the large-scale project brings together an exciting fresh ensemble.

The film marks a notable screen reunion for R. Madhavan and Akshay Kumar following their dramatic clash in Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh (2025). Shifting from courtroom drama to lighter comedic territory, their dynamic is expected to be a major highlight of the narrative. Meanwhile, Disha Patani and Shriya Saran have been cast as the female leads.

The production is slated to go on floors in London between late 2026 and early 2027, with the extensive overseas schedule forming a crucial backdrop for the story. The makers are planning a swift, start-to-finish production schedule once filming commences.

This project reunites Akshay Kumar with director Sajid Khan, who previously collaborated on successful commercial comedies including Heyy Babyy, Housefull, and Housefull 2. Both the lead star and director will finish their ongoing commitments before starting production on this untitled venture. Kumar is set to wrap up shooting for Kanishk Varma’s alien survival thriller, Samuk.

Also, we need to note that Khan will complete Hero Ki Horrorine, starring newcomers Yashvardhan Ahuja and Nitanshi Goel. With its star-studded additions, the multi-starrer comedy is shaping up to be a major theatrical release.
