Hindi cinema’s powerhouse horror-comedy franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is officially gearing up for its fourth installment. Boasting an enviable 100 percent success rate at the box office, the celebrated series originally kicked off in 2007 starring Akshay Kumar before seamlessly transitioning to Kartik Aaryan for its hugely successful second and third chapters. Driven by this impressive legacy, producer Bhushan Kumar and the team at T-Series are determined to elevate the franchise to even greater heights with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.
To ensure the new film lives up to fan expectations, the creative machinery is already in motion. Producer Bhushan Kumar and his core team have actively begun brainstorming central ideas for the project. Crucially, Kartik Aaryan is intimately involved in this development phase. The actor is deeply invested in cracking the ideal storyline, thrilled at the prospect of stepping back into the shoes of his iconic, fan-favorite character, Rooh Baba.
On the directorial front, legendary comedy filmmaker Anees Bazmee is in advanced talks to helm the fourth part, following his triumphs with the second and third entries. Sources reveal that financial discussions and contractual details are currently being ironed out, with Bazmee set to return to steer Kartik’s performance once again.
However, cameras won’t roll immediately. Bazmee is currently busy shooting his upcoming directorial venture featuring Akshay Kumar. Once that project wraps, he will shift his entire focus toward fine-tuning the script and pre-production for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4. If all goes according to plan, the makers are targeting the second half of 2027 to officially take the film on floors, setting the stage for yet another box-office spectacle.
