The filmmaker who is renowned for the 2016 drama Neerja, are reportedly in discussions with actors Rohit Saraf, Nitanshi Goel, and Rasha Thadani to headline a new cinematic love story, sources close to the project told Mid-Day.
Described as an “intense love story,” the film is still in its early stages, with talks progressing but a director yet to be finalized. An insider familiar with the casting shared that the producers aim to bring a fresh dynamic to the screen. “Rohit carries a soft, romantic charm, quite distinct from the typical alpha heroes we see today. His popularity has surged following his acclaimed role in Netflix’s Mismatched,” the source noted.
The insider also highlighted that Nitanshi Goel and Rasha Thadani have garnered audience attention with their Bollywood debuts Goel in Laapataa Ladies (2024) and Thadani in Azaad (2025) — making their pairing an intriguing choice for a story centered on young love.
