After earning acclaim at various film festivals, Saali Mohabbat—the much-anticipated ZEE5 Original Film—is ready for its digital premiere later this year. Directed by Tisca Chopra, the thriller-drama stars Radhika Apte, Divyenndu Sharma, Anurag Kashyap, Anshumaan Pushkar, Sauraseni Maitra, and Sharat Saxena.
Produced by Jio Studios and Manish Malhotra’s Stage5 Production, the film marks the renowned designer’s debut as a producer, blending his signature visual finesse with a compelling emotional narrative. This collaboration is ZEE5’s fourth with Jio Studios, following hits like Hisaab Barabar, Mrs., and Bhagwat. Radhika Apte also returns to ZEE5 after her acclaimed performance in Mrs. Undercover.
Saali Mohabbat premiered at IFFI last year and was showcased at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival this year. The film explores blurred lines between love and obsession, unraveling buried secrets. It follows Smita (Radhika Apte), a small-town housewife whose seemingly ordinary life spirals into infidelity, deceit, and moral complexity. What starts as a domestic story evolves into a gripping journey of betrayal, revenge, and the fragile boundary between truth and illusion.
