Vadh 2 Box Office Closing Collection: Sanjay Mishra & Neena Gupta Starrer Ends Run With Over 60% Deficit

Vadh 2, starring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, failed to make an impact at the Indian box office. Released amid low buzz, the film opened to disappointing collections and failed to gain traction throughout its theatrical run. Despite being a sequel, it posted poor earnings, although its revenue was significantly higher than the first installment. Here’s the detailed closing collection report!
The Hindi crime thriller hit theatres on February 6 and received mixed reviews from critics, unlike the unanimously praised original Vadh. Audience word of mouth was average, resulting in low urgency at ticket counters. While there was potential for strong word of mouth to boost the film, it failed to deliver the content needed to capitalize on it.
Box Office Earnings
Vadh 2 opened with a modest 50 lakh on day one and ultimately earned approximately 3.83 crore net during its theatrical run, multiplying its opening by just over seven times. This translates to a gross collection of around 4.51 crore. Although this figure is 538.33% higher than the first film’s 60 lakh opening, it was insufficient to recover its costs.
Box Office Verdict
Made on an estimated budget of 10 crore, Vadh 2 recovered only 38.3% of its production cost, earning 3.83 crore net. This resulted in a deficit of 6.17 crore, or 61.7%, marking the film as a flop according to Koimoi’s box office parameters.
Box Office Summary:
- Budget: 10 crore
- India Net Collection: 3.83 crore
- Recovery: 38.3%
- Deficit: 6.17 crore
- Deficit Percentage: 61.7%
- Verdict: Flop
