Mirzapur The Movie Box Office Day 1: Registers Bollywood’s 3rd Biggest Opening Of 2026

Mirzapur The Movie has stormed the Indian box office on its opening day, delivering a performance that exceeded initial industry predictions. Strong advance ticket sales exceeding ₹9 crore set the stage, but high theater occupancy and positive word-of-mouth pushed the crime thriller past opening day figures recorded by Awarapan 2, securing it as Bollywood’s third-biggest opening film of 2026.
Capitalizing on the massive fan base of the original web series and the Janmashtami holiday in key territories, the film saw an impressive average nationwide occupancy of 43%, with ticket sales accelerating during evening and night shows. On Day 1, Mirzapur The Movie collected ₹28.11 crore net across India, which includes ₹26 lakh from its dubbed Telugu release. This translates to a total gross collection of ₹33.17 crore.
