Ayan Mukerji has been one of the most successful directors in Bollywood over the past few years and it looks like he will be continuing his streak with three back-to-back projects. Yes, you heard it right, the popular filmmaker has now confirmed about directing the most anticipated movies like ‘War 2’ and that’s not all as we can see him even directing the second and third part of his earlier helmed films like Brahamstra. Yes, these are tentatively named as ‘Brahmastra 2‘ and ‘Brahmastra 3’.
While details about these films are still under wraps, but we will now take note of the films coming up from his direction. As we know there is no official confirmation from the makers, but the recent post of the filmmaker on his Instagram has given us the idea that he is all set to do the above said movies. He in his recent Instagram post claimed that he has got an interesting and special opportunity in recent times in the form of a special film, which is on the verge of signing to direct it. He then asked his fans to want for the details while they can even guess to the same.
He further continued about his venture stating that this opportunity will challenge him and even excite him a lot. Things that he has learnt in the past has inspired him to grow with time hence he has decided to opt for these ventures. The Yash Raj Films is now working on their three big films like Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and War with Hrithik Roshan. The production house is still enjoying the bliss coming through the grand success of Pathaan which had the cameo of Salman indicating that he is going to be seen again soon in Tiger 3 with SRK as Pathan doing the Cameo while Kabir from War is being missed in the film.
Now, talking about the second and third part of Brahamstra, we do know that they have stars like Ranbir Kapoor as the lead actor. However, Ayan will have War 2 firs. Yes, you heard it right, the first film to go into production will likely be ‘War 2’ which is expected to start shooting by mid-2023. It is believed to have a larger budget than its predecessor and will feature some high octane action sequences.
After this, ‘Brahmastra 2’ should begin rolling and then finally ‘Brahmastra 3’ towards the end of 2021 or early 2022. All three movies are being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and will release worldwide through their distribution arm. With such ambitious plans for the future, there can only be great things ahead for both Ayan and Ranbir fans alike. We look forward to seeing what surprises await us!
