Kriti Sanon is reportedly set to step into the world of pure horror with a new high-budget film produced by Maddock Films. Marking their ninth collaboration, this upcoming project represents a major genre shift for both the actor and the production house.
According to industry sources, Sanon signed the project following her performances in Cocktail 2 and Tere Ishk Mein.
“Kriti Sanon has always been keen to explore different genres, and this time, she’s stepping into the world of pure horror with a large-scale film produced by Maddock which she will be headlining,” a source close to the development revealed.
A Major Departure From the Horror-Comedy Universe
Unlike Maddock Films’ hugely successful horror-comedy franchise (which includes hits like Stree and Bhediya), this upcoming title is being planned as an out-and-out traditional horror film. It marks the production house’s first venture into pure horror without comedic elements.

Ninth Collaboration with Maddock Films
This project marks Kriti Sanon’s ninth collaboration with producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, following previous successful titles such as:

Notably, this will also be Sanon’s second solo-lead project with Maddock Films after Mimi, which earned her the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress.
