The release of Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film Udta Teer has been officially postponed from its previously scheduled date of October 9 to October 23, as confirmed by veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh on X. The decision to shift the release by two weeks comes as the makers seek a clearer theatrical window, avoiding a crowded box office environment to ensure the film gets adequate screen space and audience attention upon arrival.
By opting for an October 23 release, the producers aim to capitalize on a less competitive weekend, giving Udta Teer a stronger hold across multiplexes and single screens. The additional time also allows the marketing team to extend their promotional push and build further momentum leading up to the new release date.
Directed with a focus on delivering another unique, character-driven narrative for Khurrana, Udta Teer features an ensemble cast that includes Sara Ali Khan, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, and Ram Kapoor. The film’s title and initial promotional assets have already sparked curiosity among moviegoers, with audiences eager to see Khurrana tackle another distinctive role. Taran Adarsh was quick to share the details on social media, how about checking his tweet:

This strategic rescheduling reflects a broader trend among Indian filmmakers and distribution houses who regularly recalibrate their release calendars to avoid multi-starrer clashes and optimize box office potential. With the new date locked in, the promotional campaign for Udta Teer is set to pick up pace as it prepares for its theatrical debut on October 23.
