Superstar Akshay Kumar has officially concluded the Kerala filming leg of his upcoming untitled project, directed by hitmaker Anees Bazmee. The actor shared the update on May 5, 2026, marking the end of an extensive shooting stint across the picturesque landscapes of Munnar and Marayoor.
To celebrate the wrap, Akshay posted a vibrant photo on social media featuring co-stars Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna. The image captured the essence of “God’s Own Country,” with the trio posing alongside traditional performers representing Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, including Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, and Theyyam.
In his post, Akshay expressed deep gratitude for the experience, writing:

The Kerala schedule, which began on April 23, focused heavily on outdoor sequences to leverage the region’s scenic beauty. The film is a significant milestone for the cast and crew, marking the fourth collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. It also reunites Akshay with Anees Bazmee after a long hiatus of 15 years.
While the project is rumored to be a comedy inspired by the Telugu film Sankranthiki Vasthunam, the makers have yet to officially confirm the adaptation.
