Chetak Screen Awards nominations At a Glance: Dhurandhar Dominate with 24 Nominations
The nominations for the Chetak Screen Awards 2026 are now officially out. These awards celebrate the best Hindi films and OTT shows from 2025. The Indian Express Group’s Screen Academy organized this event. The ceremony will take place in Mumbai on April 5 2026. This year marks a big change because the show will be broadcast live for the first time in 20 years. Fans can watch it globally on YouTube or tune in via Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV.
The movie Dhurandhar is leading the race with a huge total of 24 nominations. This espionage thriller is directed by Aditya Dhar and is the clear favorite. It is nominated for major awards like Best Film and Best Director. Lead star Ranveer Singh is also up for Best Actor. The film has even secured spots in almost every technical category like Cinematography and Sound Design. Other strong contenders include the romantic movie Saiyaara with 17 nominations and the drama Homebound with 15 nominations.
The Best Film category features popular titles like Chhaava and Sitaare Zameen Par. For Best Director the competition is tough between Aditya Dhar and other talented filmmakers like Laxman Utekar and Neeraj Ghaywan. In the Best Actor category Ranveer Singh faces Vicky Kaushal and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The Best Female Actor category includes stars like Triptii Dimri and Yami Gautam Dhar.
The OTT awards also have big names in the mix. Manoj Bajpayee and Abhishek Bachchan are both nominated for Best Actor in an OTT film. Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh are leading the nominations for Best Female Actor in the streaming space. Supporting actors like Akshaye Khanna and Divya Dutta have also been recognized for their strong performances.
An independent group of over 50 industry experts chose these nominees. This group includes famous names like Vidya Balan and Karan Johar. They used a special scoring system to make sure the results were fair. Over 95 percent of the members participated in the voting process this year. Everyone is waiting for the April 5 ceremony to see if Dhurandhar can win in all of its categories.
