Tovino Thomas’ Period Drama Pallichattambi Set for Pan-India Release on April 9, 2026; Stunning First Look Unveiled

Malayalam superstar Tovino Thomas’ eagerly awaited period drama Pallichattambi is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 9, 2026, the makers announced Tuesday alongside the launch of a captivating first-look motion poster. Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the big-budget film will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Tovino, celebrated for his critically acclaimed superhero film Minnal Murali, which gained global streaming acclaim, is now poised to expand his reach with Pallichattambi’s broad theatrical rollout across India. Talking about the film, it is produced by World Wide Films and C Qube Bros Entertainments, Pallichattambi marks a pivotal project for Tovino, who appears in a striking new avatar showcased in the recently released motion poster. Set in the 1950s-60s, the period narrative penned by S Suresh Babu weaves historical depth with a gripping dramatic storyline.

The film features Kayadu Lohar as the female lead and boasts a strong ensemble cast including Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, and Prashanth Alexander. With meticulous attention to detail in production design and cinematography, the movie aims to authentically evoke the cultural essence of the era. 

Cinematography is helmed by Tijo Tomy, while acclaimed composer Jakes Bejoy delivers the musical score. Editing is managed by Sreejith Sarang, with production design by Dileep Nath. The technical team also includes costume designer Manjusha Radhakrishnan and makeup artist Rasheed Ahammed. Associate producers Meghasyam and Thanzeer lend their support to the project.
