Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is gearing up for a theatrical release in Japan, nearly two years after its original debut. The makers confirmed that the action drama will hit cinemas across Japan on February 13, 2026.Production house Bhadrakali Films marked this occasion with a special poster tailored for the Japanese audience, shared on X (formerly Twitter). The poster features Ranbir Kapoor’s intense portrayal of Ranvijay Singh alongside a Japanese tagline translating to “This man cannot be stopped,” positioning Animal as a memorable cinematic experience beyond its home market.
Animal originally released in India in December 2023 and achieved significant commercial success, grossing around Rs 553 crores net domestically and approximately Rs 915 crores worldwide. It ranked among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time during its initial run.With the upcoming Japanese release, Animal has a strong chance to push its global total closer to—or even beyond—the coveted Rs 1000 crore mark. This milestone has gained added importance as Dhurandhar, the Ranveer Singh-led thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, has recently surpassed Animal’s global earnings and is projected to finish its run between Rs 1000 and Rs 1100 crores worldwide.
