Tips Films Clarifies Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Is an “Original Story” Amid Puja Films Legal Dispute

In the wake of an ongoing legal battle between Puja Films and Tips Films, the latter has issued an official public clarification regarding its highly anticipated movie, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The statement aims to dispel growing speculation within trade circles and on social media that the lawsuit could derail or alter the project. Through this public notice, the makers directly addressed the rumors to reassure anxious audiences and theater exhibitors alike.

The production house completely dismissed any claims or assumptions that the movie borrows elements from other properties, strongly emphasizing the unique creative process behind the film. The official statement clarified that Tips, Ramesh Taurani, and David Dhawan, along with the cast and crew, want to assure everyone that the movie is an original story and screenplay with no resemblance to any other film. The company also reaffirmed its confidence in the project, stating that they have poured their hearts into the movie and that its worldwide theatrical release plans remain firmly on track. They wrapped up the notice with an enthusiastic promise to see everyone at the movies.

The timing of this clarification is critical, as the film is just weeks away from its global debut. The romantic comedy-drama is generating significant buzz in the entertainment industry, not just for its star power, but because it is widely rumored to be veteran director David Dhawan’s final directorial venture. The movie marks another collaboration between the director and his son, Varun Dhawan, who stars in the lead role alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde.

The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Maniesh Paul, Chunky Panday, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Mouni Roy. It is produced by Ramesh Taurani under the Tips Films banner and co-produced by Gaurav Bose of Maximilian Films. By clearing the air well ahead of the premiere, Tips Films hopes to shift the narrative away from courtroom drama and bring the focus back to the family-friendly entertainment value of the movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026.
