Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming dark comedy Toaster, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra. Scheduled to premiere on April 15, the film marks a significant milestone as the first production under Kampa Film, the production house founded by Rajkummar Rao and produced by Patralekhaa. Directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary, the story explores how a small obsession with saving money can spiral into absolute madness.
The plot centers on Ramakant (played by Rao), a man whose commitment to frugality reaches absurd levels. The chaos begins when Ramakant attempts to retrieve a toaster he had previously gifted at a wedding. What starts as a “practical” mission to recover his investment quickly escalates into a series of increasingly messy and unpredictable events, dragging everyone around him into a whirlwind of confusion.
