Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya Granted Divorce; No Alimony Sought, Says Lawyer

Actor Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohael Khaturiya have officially been granted a divorce by the Family Court in Mumbai’s Bandra, confirmed by Hansika’s lawyer, Adnan Shaikh, as reported by NDTV. This development follows months of speculation about difficulties in their marriage, with rumours earlier in August 2025 suggesting the couple had been living separately.

Shaikh stated, “Our client, Hansika Motwani, has been granted a decree of divorce by the Hon’ble Family Court Bandra. The divorce was granted by mutual consent after both parties acknowledged that the marriage had irretrievably broken down.”He added, “Hansika initially sought an amicable separation, which led to the current decree.

The respondent filed his affidavit today, confirming his consent to the dissolution of the marriage.”Importantly, Shaikh clarified that Hansika did not seek any financial settlement. “Our client has made no claims for alimony or maintenance. Her sole intention was to bring a dignified and peaceful closure to the marriage. The reasons for the breakdown were submitted to the court. Hansika now wishes to focus on moving forward with her life and career,” he said.

Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya were married on December 4, 2022, in a grand ceremony at Mundota Fort and Palace, which drew significant attention online. Prior to their wedding, Sohael had proposed to Hansika in front of the Eiffel Tower in November 2022, a moment she shared on Instagram captioned “Now and Forever.

”Rumours of separation grew stronger last year after Hansika deleted several wedding photos from her social media. As of now, she has not made any public statements regarding the divorce.
