Viineet Kumar Singh Cast as Antagonist in New MHCU Film Shakti Shalini

In an exciting update for the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), actor Viineet Kumar Singh has reportedly been cast as the primary antagonist in the upcoming film Shakti Shalini. This project marks the sixth installment in the successful franchise that includes hits like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is expected to lean into a darker and grittier tone compared to its predecessors.
Rising star Aneet Padda will take on the titular role of Shakti Shalini. Her character was first teased in a post-credits scene during last year’s release of Thamma, where she was introduced with the powerful titles of “The Protector” and “The Destroyer.” The film also features a reunion between Aneet Padda and Vishal Jethwa, who previously worked together in Salaam Venky. Viineet Kumar Singh’s character is described as a formidable and dark force that will serve as the central challenge for the protagonist.
Production is already underway, with Viineet Kumar Singh beginning his initial filming schedule in Mumbai. The actor, who has had a productive year with projects like Chhaava, will move the production to Madhya Pradesh in May after completing work on the second season of Dahaad. The film’s high-stakes supernatural narrative is expected to be a major highlight of the Maddock universe’s ongoing expansion.
While the film was originally slated for a December 24, 2026 release, there is some speculation that the date could be moved to early 2027. This potential shift is due to the anticipated release of King, which is also targeting the Christmas weekend. Regardless of the final release date, Shakti Shalini is set to play a pivotal role in the MHCU’s larger interconnected story.
