“People think that whatever I have achieved came easily,” Rinku stated. “But handling things after they come easily is just as difficult.” Her comments have since sparked widespread discussion.
Reflecting on her career after the massive success of Sairat, she asked, “The movie was a hit, but why didn’t I get to work with great actors after that? There are excellent directors in the industry, but they never offered me work. I often wonder why. Even today, I am still giving auditions. Figure out how to sustain all of this is a different kind of struggle. Everyone faces a struggle. People think everything was handed to me, but managing that success is equally tough.”
She continued, “What I mean is, usually you climb the stairs one by one. But I was placed directly at the top where the whole world could see me. In such a situation, it’s hard to know what to do next. I have learned through experience. I don’t feel like I have anyone specific to lean on. Even today, if I meet someone, I tell them to let me know if there’s any work. I know everyone, but no one has approached me with a role. Some people think I only do one type of role, and others just work with whoever they prefer.”
Despite these challenges, Rinku has remained active since Sairat, entertaining fans with strong performances in films like Kagar, Jhund, and Jhimma 2.
