Raaj Shaandilyaa Breaks Silence on Ekta Kapoor Dispute; Confirms Bhagam Bhag 2 Is “On Track”

Filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa has addressed recent reports of a legal dispute with Balaji Telefilms, led by Ekta Kapoor, which allegedly disrupted the shooting schedule of Bhagam Bhag 2. In a detailed statement, Shaandilyaa explained that he exercised his contractual rights by issuing a termination notice to Balaji Telefilms over two weeks ago. “If Balaji Telefilms believed it had any valid legal grounds to challenge the termination, they were free to approach the relevant civil court. No such action has been taken,” he said.
Responding to rumors of criminal allegations, Shaandilyaa called them “exaggerated and baseless,” suggesting they were attempts to intimidate once it became clear there was no solid legal basis to contest the termination. He expressed confidence in his legal position and assured that any claims would be addressed through proper legal channels.
Crucially, Shaandilyaa confirmed that Bhagam Bhag 2 remains on schedule. “Let me clarify that the film is very much on track and will proceed as planned,” he stated, dispelling speculation that the sequel had been shelved amid the controversy. These developments follow reports that the shoot, featuring Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, and Paresh Rawal, was put on hold due to legal complications.
Shaandilyaa concluded by urging industry professionals to be mindful of such situations when entering into collaborations and to draw their own conclusions. As the matter moves toward further legal and professional discussions, the fate of Bhagam Bhag 2 continues to be closely monitored.
