Akshay Kumar Visits Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain with Dimple Kapadia Ahead of Bhooth Bangla Release: “I Prayed for the Entire Country”

Actor Akshay Kumar paid a visit to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on April 1, 2026, accompanied by his mother-in-law and veteran actor Dimple Kapadia. The visit comes just days before the release of his highly anticipated film, Bhooth Bangla.

After offering prayers at the temple, Akshay spoke about the significance of his visit, sharing that he prayed not just for his family but for the entire nation. He said,

“It was really good… I prayed for the entire country and my family. I prayed that may our country always excel and progress.”

Visit Ahead of Bhooth Bangla Release

Akshay’s temple visit takes place ahead of the theatrical release of Bhooth Bangla, which marks his reunion with director Priyadarshan after a series of successful collaborations in the past.The film, initially slated to release on April 10, will now hit theaters on April 17, 2026, following a revised schedule. The change was made to avoid a clash with the buzz-heavy release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Apart from this, Akshay Kumar, Bhooth Bangla boasts a star-studded cast, including Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, and the late Asrani, in key roles.
