The much-anticipated trailer launch of Thamma took place on Friday, September 26, at Mumbai’s Bandra Fort, drawing media, fans, and the beloved Shraddha Kapoor—famously known as Stree. Fans went wild as Shraddha graced the stage, and the event kicked off with a big surprise: the official unveiling of the logo for the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU).
Shraddha Kapoor launched the MHCU logo alongside blockbuster producer Dinesh Vijan, director Amar Kaushik (Stree, Stree 2, Bhediya), and writer Niren Bhatt. The logo perfectly captures the essence of the franchise, with the ‘H’ in MHCU highlighted in a striking bloody red, adding a chilling effect.Calling Dinesh Vijan “Dinesh Vision,” Shraddha praised his expansive vision post-Stree: “He gifted us films like Bhediya, Munjya, and now Thamma is ready to hit the screens.
We’re all in for more fun. Being part of such films is truly special. ”She added, “We want to make films that are deeply rooted in our culture. Thankfully, the audience is embracing this vision. It’s incredible to be part of pushing Indian cinema forward. Forget foreign universes! This is our very own desi horror-comedy universe!” Thamma stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
