Taapsee Pannu is basically a model and now turned actress of south Indian and Hindi movies. She was born and brought up in New Delhi in a Punjabi family. Her schooling came from the known Mata Jai Kaur Public School based in Ashok Vikhar. Later she went to do her computer engineering from the college called Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology in New Delhi and then went ahead to do a job in a software company as a software engineer. It was during her course of software engineering when she thought of trying her luck to become a model and soon was seen giving audition in a popular talent hunt show called Get Gorgeous at Channel V. She was selected, which finally led to the world of glamor and then into acting. As far as her personal life is concerned, the rumors suggest that she is dating the Bollywood Hunk – Varun Dawan as the duo was spotted a couple of time in a Mumbai Restaurant.

After the Get Gorgeous show, Taapsee Pannu got the chance to do modelling in a number of commercial and print media ads and then went ahead to participate in Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face, Safi Femina, Femina Miss India and Miss Beautiful Skin contest. She then headed to endorse a couple of brands including Red FM 93.5, Reliance Trends, Coca Cola, UniStyle Image, PVR Cinemas, Pantaloons, World Gold Council, Vardham and Havels apart from endorsing for brands like Dabur, Tata Docomo, Standard Chartered Bank, etc. She was even featured at the popular magazine cover of Just For Women and MaaStars. Later after doing loads of modelling assignments, she just gave up and thought of trying her luck into acting.

With a bit of struggle, Taapsee Pannu got the chance to work in south Indian movie called Jhummandi Naadam, which was Raghavendra Rao’s Telugu movie. The movie was a big hit, which also gave her applauds for her performance. This gave a couple of other movies as well, including Vastadu Naa Raju,Mr. Perfect, Vandhaan Vendraan and Aadukalam. Later she got the chance to work in Malayalam movie called and finally went ahead to do Bollywood movies. Her first Bollywood movie was Chashme Baddoor, which she played in opposite to Ali Zafar. Her forthcoming Hindi movies include Runningshaadi.com and Baby, which is all set to hit the theaters soon. Talking about her awards, she was nominated in a number of south Indian film awards, however could just win one. In 2014, she received the Edison Awards under the category of Most Enthusiastic Performer for female category for her Tamil movie called Arrambam.
