You might be confused by the headline, don’t you? If you have read Shah Rukh Khan‘s latest post on twitter, you will know he left for San Francisco. Intriguing right? You must be wondering why he has suddenly gone there. Well, honestly we too had similar thoughts. We guessed he might be there to shoot yet another schedule of Imtiaz Ali’s film that releases this Independence Day weekend. But later we found out that he is there to be part of the screening of My Name Is Khan and will go live from on Twitter.
That’s not all. He will be on the dias with Brett Ratnar, the man behind Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand and many such biggies. The producer-director will be asking questions to Shah Rukh Khan on his film. 2017 San Francisco International Film Festival is paying a special tribute to SRK. Global fans of the actor on twitter will be able to join the audience for Brett Ratner’s onstage interview with him from the Castro Theatre in San Francisco. The livestream will be available worldwide to audiences on Twitter and connected devices starting at 9:00am IST on Saturday, April 15 (8:30 pm pst on Friday, April 14). Shah Rukh left for San Francisco by posting a very thoughtful intense picture of him.
The Alchemist author posted a screenshot from his Facebook post which read, “His first (and only) movie that I watched (this year, even if it was released in 2008) was ‘My Name is Khan’. And not only was the movie excellent, but SRK deserved an Oscar if Hollywood was not manipulated. He kindly offered to send the other titles – as you probably guess, it is not easy to find them in Switzerland.”
