Here comes the 16th Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles commonly called as the IFFLA and this time it has something special, which is coming the next month. This time we will have the memorial tribute for the lady Sridevi which will be done by screening by Chandni, which seems to be one of the gems from the lady the late Bollywood actress talking a lot about the glorious cinematic career. The IIFLA would have a 2K print of the 1989 hit film called Chandni and the courtesy simply goes of Yash Raj Films, read a statement.
The mega event called IFFLA is to be held next month on April 11-15, which will open with In The Shadows having Manoj Bajpayee, and it will conclude with Rima Das’ Village Rockstars. The other highlights of the show include Nagraj Manjule’s short movie An Essay of the Rain, The Ashram by Ben Rekhi starring Kal Penn, Ask The Sexpert by the Vaishali Sinha which went to around a story of a 3-year old sex advice columnist Mahinder Watsa, and then you have the Hungry that carries Naseeruddin Shah and Tisca Chopra along with Omerta a film by Hansal Mehta’s apart from the movie called Kadvi Hawa by Nila Madhab Panda.
The line-up simply includes 12 different languages and a list of the first and second time filmmakers that carry more than eleven women filmmakers. This year’s lineup happens to be a testament to the wide variety of genre, skill and style which carry within the Indian film making community. Every one seems to be excited and, inspired, and challenging stories, which are very much sure to make a thrilling festival experience.
