Sonam Bajwa was born as Sonampreet Kaur Bajwa on 16th August 1990 and commonly called the former name. She is a popular Punjabi model and actress active in Punjabi films apart from being a popular face in south Indian movies like that of Tamil cinema, and Telugu films. She was born in Nanakmatta, Rudrapur Uttarakhand, India. She did her schooling from Jaycees Public School, Rudrapur Uttarkhand followed by her college from Delhi University. She wanted to become air hostess but soon got into modeling. During her college days, she was seen active in modeling and then was seen participating in the Femina Miss India contest in the year 2012.

This gave Sonam Bajwa exposure in the glamour industry which eventually helped her to bag the role in a Punjabi movie called Best Of Luck, which helped her to bag another movie called Punjab 1984. The film was a big blockbuster in Punjabi Cinema playing the character called Jeeti the main lead role in 2014. Since then it was no looking back for her and she kept on getting a number of movies, which include Sardaar Ji, Born to Be King, Sardaar Ji 2 and Nikka Zaildar. She is now filming for the movie Super Singh with Diljit Dosanjh, which will soon hit the floors.

Besides, the Punjabi movies, she has also done a couple of South Indian films, which include the Tamil – Kappal and Telugu movies include Aatadukundam Raa and Babu Bangaram. Talking about her connect with Bollywood, Sonam Bajwa was subsequently shortlisted to act opposite Shah Rukh Khan in his film Happy New Year but later was rejected for the role for some technical reason. Thus she missed her debut in Bollywood. Talking about her personal life, she is still to get married or dating anyone. She is currently focusing in her career rather than dating anyone.
