The film ‘Padmaavat’ can be certainly called as the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus. Thanks to the huge cost involved in making this film along with the extravagance the film has carried out. The film entered into the 100 crore in just four days while the second 100 crore came after a week when the film entered in 200 crore. By that time there were other movies that posed competition before the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie.
This has given the movie the swell time at the box office and despite the film shattered a number of box office records we see the pace of the collection going down and the film is marching forward to enter into the 300-crore club. So far we have seen the movie raking INR 70-75 lakh at the ticket window on the fifth Friday since its release claimed the media reports. This has made the collection of the film reach to around 271 crores, which is likely to go slow in the coming days.
With the passing days as we see several B Town films hitting the theatres, it is more likely to lose the base and the attraction towards it for many reasons. However, there are some reports that the film would enter into the 300 crore for sure as there seems to be some amount of surge in the recent few days. The audience seems to be returning to the film and there are chances to see the states that did not release the movie are likely to release the film thus giving the audience the second chance to make a decent collection.
