Karishma Tanna is among the popular TV and film actor of Bollywood. She is born and brought in Mumbai in a Gujarati family. After her schooling, she went to Sydenham College; she headed to make her career in acting. However, she got the chance to enter into smaller screen joining Balaji Telefilms with the popular series- Kyuki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi. Soon, she landed up doing a number of commercial ads over small screens including the leading brands including Nirma, Lifebuoy and Stayfree. She had learnt classical dancing especially Bharatanatyam during her childhood, however, didn’t had any formal training for the same. She was dating the TV actor Eijaz Khan and was in a relationship for long, however, later separated to pursue their careers in acting.

This brought her in limelight giving her a couple of new TV series including Kahi To Milenge, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Shararat, Kkusum, etc. The recent one include Baal Veer, Baal Veer, Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, etc. Her participation in Bigg Boss 8 has been making headlines for various reasons unlike her previous bold activities in the bigger and smaller screens. She later headed to theatres, which she did a debut with Hinglish, which is a romantic or farce comedy Perfect Wedding. This followed a couple of other theatres as well including Knotty Affair wherein she played the character of Lila. Later, she is seen in a couple of music videos.
She made her debut in Bollywood movie with the movie Dosti: Friends Forever, wherein she played the character of Nandini Thapar. Later, she got the chance to a couple of movies including I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona, Chetana, Grand Masti and Tina and Lolo. He then headed to south India to a number of movies including starting with Kannada movies starting with I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona, followed by the other ones. Her upcoming movie includes Tina and Lolo, which would be hitting the theatres next year.
