The B Town has two films to offer this Friday, which include Fanney Khan and Mulk. Both the films are of different genre and had some amount of buzz in the movie. So, today amidst all their buzz the film hit the screens now let’s talk about the two starting with Fanney Khan. The film starring Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had other story to tell when it comes to B Town. The film has the same usual story with different set up and characters but in terms of performance and roles, the film was liked getting mixed reviews. It had some amount of buzz in the media that made the film to prosper in a right pace and mode.
The film therefore opened up with the occupancy report of around 20 to 30 per cent, and was released in more than 1500 screens. As the film entered into the evening shows, it has shown some amount of improvement in terms of occupancy that reached to around 50 to 60 per cent. Now, talking about the collection, the 1st day box office collection for Fanney Khan is not less than 3.5 crore, which is again a decent amount. Let’s talk about the other film called Mulk, which had an ensemble cast. The Film though had some amount of buzz but considering the content of the movie, we can call it to be a niche movie.
Hence the kind of performance as compared to the other film seemed lagging. The film opened up with the occupancy report of around 10-15 per cent, which went on to improve in the evening shows but not as compared to Fanney Khan. Also, the number of screen counts for the film was less that also came in its way. So, as per reports, the first day box office collection for Mulk reached to around 2.65 crore, which is still a decent figure for the makers. The first weekend would witness some amount of growth in the coming times for sure and both the film are likely to be reaching close to 20 crores.
