Bareilly Ki Barfi & Partition 1947 1st Weekend Box Office Collection
Last Friday, we had two movies released, which included Bareilly Ki Barfi and Partition 1947. Well, let’s talk about the former starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon, and Rajkummar. Though the film opened up with a meager collection this Friday but the weekend was decent with collection soaring to a decent height both on the first Saturday and Sunday. The occupancy rate witnessed a growth of 30.65 per cent. The film had a unique content, which will take some time to garner a good word of mouth buzz calling the big chunk of audience towards it. Though it may not enter the 100 crore club but it is the promotion and low star value are supposed to be blamed for the same.
As per reports, the collection on first day was around 2.40 crore, which on Saturday secured 3.85 crore on while on Sunday managed to score Rs 5.03 crore. IN this way the first weekend box office collection for Bareilly Ki Barfi tolled to around Rs 11.30 crore. The romantic comedy seems to be getting a good word of mouth buzz from the audience thanks to the decent reviews it has collected by most of the critics and fans. The film is getting a stiff competition from the Akshay Kumar starrer movie – Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which seems to be going smooth at the box office.
Another film released on the same day called Partition 1947 seemed to be in a bad shape over the box office. The film happens to be a political drama which is originally called the Viceroy’s House, which happens to be the English version of the movie. The same movie is dubbed in Hindi and is named as Partition 1947. The film has managed to get a very low collection at the box office. As per reports, the 1st Weekend Box Office collection tolled to around 2.5 crores, which is really low. It has got a good competition from the films like the Hollywood movie called Annabelle: Creation along with Bareilly Ki Barfi along with Akki film as well.
