For a quite some time now there have various reports and whispers about Sanjay Dutt‘s close friend from the industries playing a cameo in his biopic that stars Ranbir Kapoor in the main lead and is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The biggest name of them all was Salman Khan’s and reports also suggested that Sanjay Dutt has personally messaged and requested Salman. When Sanjay Dutt was asked about the same in an interview with mid-day, he said, “I don’t think the script demands any of that at all,” he said denying the rumour.
He was also asked about his involvement in the film, he said, “Nothing has been told to me yet. But yeah, if they ask me to do a voice-over or something like that, I’d be happy to.” In the same interview he was also asked about the sequel of his 1991 hit, Sadak. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the film starred Pooja Bhatt as the female lead and was inspired by Robert DeNiro’s cult classic, Taxi Driver. Lately there have been several discussions about a sequel to it. When asked, he said, “Nothing’s completely planned as yet.
But yes, if ‘Sadak 2’ ever happens, I would love to do it.” There are also reports that Mahesh Bhatt might make a comeback as a director with the sequel, when asked about it, Sanjay admitted, “It’s a great script – not a remake, but another part [of the same film]. I have spoken to Bhatt saab about it. I hope something comes out of it.
