Swati Kumar hails from Rajasthan, India wherein she was born and brought up at. She did her schooling and college from Jaipur and then shifted to Delhi wherein she got attached to theatres. Soon when she realized that her goal is to make a career in acting she headed to Mumbai to make her career in this field. Soon with her initial struggle, she got the chance to work in small screen with small roles. Now she is back in news with getting a big role in the TV show called Shastri Sisters. In fact, she claims to have studied Sudha Chandran’s acting career very closely and is treating it as a tutorial for her role as Karishma.
The actress Swati Kumar of ‘Shastri Sisters’ show has bagged a plump project as she will be seen essaying a strong and powerful character in Ramesh Deo Productions ongoing ‘Star Plus’ show ‘Tamanna’. Swati’s character of a head strong cricketer will bear similarities with actress Shilpa Shukla’s character of Bindiya Naik in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer movie ‘Chak De! India’. Interestingly, Swati will also get to continue her association with her ‘Shastri Sisters’ co-star Shishir Sharma in this new show of hers. While, Shishir was seen essaying the character of Swati’s father in the ‘Colors’ show, this time he essays the character of her cricket coach.
Swati Kumar is a fresh face joining the young talent brigade, Swati Kumar is very excited to join the cast of Shastri Sisters. Commenting on her new role she says, “I have been following the show closely and love the way the track has taken turns. Although my character is essentially a negative one, given a chance I would love to play Devyani’s character. Her character is so bubbly and chirpy in the said TV show.
