The recently released movie of Kangana Ranaut called ‘Simran’ after releasing amidst huge buzz was seen doing an average business. With the mixed reviews of the film and a meager collection on the first day with mere 2.77 crore, the collection went a bit high on the second and third day giving a decent rise for the film’s collection. After the meager collection on the first day, the movie went on to collect around 3.76 crore on the second day and finally on Sunday the collection went high giving the movie around 6.53 crores.
So, the first weekend box office collection for Simran tolled to around 13.06 crore, which is certainly not the figure as expected by this film. With a huge buzz in the media, the experts were expecting a decent figure for the first weekend, but with this collection the makers and others seems to be in a dismay. The film has faced a stiff competition from the Farhan Akhtar movie and hence the decline in business was witnessed. Also, the lead actress of the film, Kangana Ranaut has remained in a number of controversies, which has also kept the audience to catch the film.
Let’s not forget how 2017 has been treating Bollywood and is called as a dark year for the B Town movies. By and large the films this year have not been able to cross the 200 crore mark. Considering the low collection of the movie at the box office, even the actor, anchor and comedian, Shekhar Suman was seen digging over Kanga saying that despite huge buzz nothing really worthy has come out of the film. So, with poor performance over the weekend, the film tend to remain the same during the weekdays and nothing much is expected to be seen over the box office. So, what do you all have to say about it, do comment and let us know!
