Share this on WhatsApp Well, it’s time for Emran Hashmi
Come January 25 and you have two bigwig films like Kaabil and Raees. It will be big for Bollywood as two biggies are set to release on that date. At one hand, there is the winning combination of Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan with Kaabil and on the other, there’s Shah Rukh Khan and his Raees ready to test waters at the box office. Yesterday, SRK announced that the pre-bookings of his film have started by saying, “Apna time shuru! #RaeesPreBookings are now open…” And it’s not just Raees that you can book your tickets for but Kaabil too. Advance bookings have already begun for both the films. (Also read: Hrithik Roshan has an unexpected response to Shah Rukh Khan and the Raees vs Kaabil clash – watch video)
So despite everything, Raees and Kaabil are clashing at the box office and we know what both the parties feel about it. When we met Hrithik and asked how he felt about it, the actor said, “I have a painting on my wall in my house where there are two boys, one on top of each other’s shoulders, and they are cancelling out words should have, could have and then they write did. So I don’t believe in talking about what could have happened or what should have happened. It’s a waste of time. What can we do, that is what I asked myself.
What can I do now? We can do the best, I should do the best for my film. Ritesh and Shah Rukh should do the best for their film and it is how it should be.” SRK on his part told media, “But there’s no other date, yaar! I have tried my best to shift it around. We were initially supposed to come on Eid in June, then I tried to get it in September-October, but Ae Dil and Shivaay were coming. Then I tried to come on December 9, but Befikre was coming. In between, I had Dear Zindagi, too. So unfortunately because of the delay and my injury, it is what it is now. Otherwise, even if we had come on Eid, it would have still clashed with Sultan.”
