Mahesh Babu is currently in Vietnam to shoot for AR Murugadoss’ next project. While the title of the film is not out yet, the other details of the project are more than enough to make fan very very excited. From what we hear the latest, the crew will shoot for a chase sequence in Vietnam! What is great about that? It’s the budget of this chase sequence. This sequence alone costs Rs 3 crore, making it one of the most expensive chase sequences ever in Indian cinema.
According to a report in Telugu 360, Mahesh and the team have finished 80% portion of the film. The crew will be in Vietnam for the next two weeks, and will shoot for one very important action sequence. But still, isn’t Rs 3 crore a bit too much for a chase sequence? The scene might just match the level of awesomeness in Hollywood movies like Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’s sandstorm chase scene or the one shot in Madagascar for Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale. The previous record for the most expensive chase sequence, in Indian cinema, was held by Varun Dhawan and John Abraham starrer Dishoom.
The chase sequence featuring chopper, speed boats and cars cost the makers something close to Rs 3 crore. The untitled project also stars Rakul Preet in a lead role. Title of the film is likely to be unveiled on Wednesday.“They will be shooting a chase scene and a never seen before action episode. A team of local stuntmen have been hired to shoot the scenes. The team will return to India in the second week of April,” HT had quoted a source earlier this week.
