If you thought that Fawad Khan’s presence in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has created trouble for the actor at the backdrop of the Uri attacks, you are wrong. The Pak heartthrob was also present in the recently released biopic movie called MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. As per sources, he was playing the character of a Pak based cricketer in the film and Virat Kohli was the first man to confirm about the same.
In fact, Virat Kohli’s character too was slashed down along with cutting down the character of a Pak based cricketer played by Fawad Khan in it. As per the sources, the actor had one sequence with Sushant Singh Rajput apart from having the Virat Kohli and MSD in the film. But the sources claimed that both the scenes were cut at the last moment by the director.
Since Uri attack came out on the time of the film release and there were much of the agitation going on in the city by MNS and other fanatic groups, which led the director Neeraj Pandey to decide to chopping off the sequence from the film. The group was already agitating for the role of Fawad Khan in the film of Karan Johar, hence Neeraj has to take such a tough decision.
Well as per the sources, the filmmaker didn’t want any kind of negative publicity or controversy in the media around the movie. Though the character of Fawad Khan was an important sequence in the movie, but considering the threat to get an opposition from MNS and other groups, he had to drop these scenes. Also, MNS was agitating about the making of this film in Marathi may be at the backdrop of a biopic film on a cricketer who happens to be a Bihari.
