Jackie Chan’s latest release Kung Fu Yoga hit the theatres internationally on 27th January 2017. Being a well promoted film on the web and social media platforms, it received a very good response mainly from Jackie Chan fans. The theatre occupancy rates of the film were exemplarily high and the collection was also huge on the first day. With actors like Jackie Chan and Miya Muqi in the lead there was also the essential Bollywood tadka with Sonu Sood,Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur in significant characters.
As it is an action thriller under the big banner of Stanley Tong, the expectations were very high from the film. After two days of showing, the reports suggest that the audience response to the film is quite positive and the collections are also showing good signs of catching up with the audience. The box office collection after the first day of the show was $ 122,300 which is a very good figure. The good show of the film continued on the second and third day. The positive word of mouth of the film worked in favor of the film’s response and the turn of the audience was high in major cities of the world.
The collection of the film on the second day was $ 212,240. It improved further on the third day with the total collection of $ 213,440. The total figure of the film’s collection up till now is approximately $$$$ which according to trade experts is an attractively figure that will continue to grow.
The trade prediction says that Kung Fu Yoga might make a total first week collection of $245,112.
