It’s been a week the sequel was seen hitting the screens. The film having Varun Dhawan as a double delight. The film recorded a decent collection not just on the first day collection but also in the first weekend. In fact, with Monday being the holiday, the film enjoyed a good collection thus getting an extended collection with it. The collection went on the range of around 5-6 crore on an average giving a good figure at the end of the first week. However, the film failed to enter into the Hundred Crore Club with barely 1.5 crore was remaining to get this magic figure.
As per reports, the 1st week box office collection for Judwaa 2 reached to around 98.09 crore. With just one day to go and the film will enter into the hundred crore club. The fact is, the sequel is certainly a celebrated and successful film, which will going to get an edge with the collection. With a good performance the sequel has managed to surpass the other films including the Akshay Kumar movie called Toilet: Ek Prem Kahani. The makers of the film have been impressed a lot with its collection with the director David Dhawan saying that he is pleased to hear the collection.
The director said that he is happy with the performance of the movie, which is his 44th movie. He said, he knows his audience and hence has applauded them all for giving such a good collection. Also, the lead actor of the film called Varun Dhawan too was seen tweeting about the film wherein he thanked the audience. The film happens to be the sequel is based on the 1997 hit film starring Salman Khan. However, with an advent of several movies releasing this Friday, there will be a decline in the second weekend for the film. Well, let’s see how thing would move.
