After giving a smashing weekend in China, the Aamir Khan starrer film Dangal is still continuing to break another set of records. The film has smashing several records in India, Aamir Khan’s Dangal, the tale of triumph against the odds and patriarchal society, is now riding high on success in China as well. The movie had already set a record by releasing across 9000 screens in China, giving tough competition to magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion, which released across the same number of screens but across the world it seems to have been beaten up by Mr. Perfectionist film.
In merely four days, the movie, which narrates the story of a father who trains his daughter to become wrestling champions, managed to cross Rs.100 crore mark in China shattering the record set by PK in the past. “Me and the entire team of Dangal are very touched with the love and affection that our film ‘Dangal’ is getting in China. I have been visiting Chinese social media websites and reading translations of the reactions. It is truly moving to see such a strong emotional bond that the Chinese have with our film,” he said in a statement.
“On behalf of our entire team, I would like to thank our Chinese audience and want them to know that we are all so happy. And I would like to thank our distributors in China for giving our film such a nice release,” he added. Once again Aamir Khan proved that he is the king of Box Office and often emerges as a leader by breaking his own film’s record released previously.
