Kamal Haasan is finally able to release his much delayed Vishwaroopam 2, after getting a clear green signal from the financiers and as well as clearing all the legal issues. Now that the movie is currently under extensive post-production process, Kamal Haasan will be quite glad that his pet project is finally seeing the day of the light, though whether it will see the light this year or not is another matter.
Vishwaroopam 2 is directed by Kamal Haasan himself, and it brings back the principal cast from the first movie, including Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur and Rahul Bose. The superstar has released the first look of the movie, that too in three different languages – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The poster has Kamal Haasan wearing a grey suit and holding his heart across his chest, with the National Flag emblazoned across that region and India Gate in the background.
Well, what to say about the poster, except that the fact that nitpicking on the same would make us sound like anti-nationalists. Fine, I will take that risk. I have no issues with the patriotic angle that will appeal to the masses, who love to wear their nationalism on their sleeves. But, the poster offers nothing new apart from this patriotic pose that makes the movie look more like a biopic of some freedom fighter than an action-packed terrorism thriller.
We expected to see the how grand the sequel has gone compared to the breath-taking action scenes of the original. Instead, the first look is giving us Akshay Kumar vibes. The only thing interesting we found about the poster is how they have given out the estimated release date – Targeting Release 2017. Time to catch the poster as under:
