Meri Pyaari Bindu, the name might make you think that it’s a comedy since the line is from an iconic track by Kishore Kumar from Padosan. But from what we saw in the teaser, it will be a roller-coaster ride of love and heartbreak. Ayushmaan Khurrana’s dialogue at the end sumps ups the feeling of the film completely. He says, “Pyar karna bahut log sikhate hai par afsos, pyaar bhulana koi nahi sikhata.” Haven’t we all wanted to forget the love and reduce the hurt? Ah…that feeling!
The teaser is definitely refreshing. It also takes you back to Dum Laga Ke Haisha which was set in a time when Tape cassettes were still relevant. Here too Ayushmaan is seen listening to a cassette which has Parineeti as Bindu talking about their favourite songs together. The teaser in a few minutes shows a lot about the film and we would like to applaud the person who has cut it. If there’s a man trying to write stories remembering the woman he loved, there’s also their sweet romance to see. Parineeti’s melodious voice elevates the teaser to a completely different level.
Meri Pyaari Bindu looks damn interesting. First, it has Parineeti singing for the first time and when we heard her voice, we were completely sold. She is perhaps the best actress to singer transition we have seen in the recent times. Plus, Ayushmann and her jodi is so fresh that you would want to see more of it. New pairings have worked wonders in last few days and this definitely is one that we are looking forward to. Set in Kolkata, the film talks about a writer and his muse. The teaser gives you a very warm feeling and we hope the trailer does justice to it too.
