The film is presented by Prakash Jha who has produced this movie under his own banner while it is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. The film Lipstick Under My Burkha is all set to hit the theatres on July 21, 2017. It also has a number of stars including Konkona Sensharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahana Kumra and Plabita Borthakur seen in the lead roles.
The film deals with the women in the rural areas found in small town in India. The movie has been making headlines for many reasons including battling with the censor board, however, it has even bagged 10 global awards at different places.
