Here comes the trailer of the film Lipstick Under My Burkha, which happens to be the most controversial movie of 2017. The film has Konkona Sensharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahana Kumra, Plabita Borthakur, Sushant Singh, Vikrant Massey and Shashank Arora in the lead role while it is hitting the theatres on July 21, 2017. The Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) has been refusing to certify the film but with loads of controversies the film finally passed through the censor board. In fact, the makers approached the tribunal to get the certification from the Censor Board.
Well, the trailer of the so called ‘lady-oriented’ movies is out now it unleashes a number of myths related to female sexual fantasies. The film happens to be a tight slap over the patriarchy-driven society which slut-shames a woman for having the sexual desires and secret fantasies. The film revolves around the life of four ladies who have waged a war for freedom. In the trailer one can find a number of uncomfortable yet emotional questions to the society.
Some of the scenes in the film are so hard-hitting and raw that it will certainly make people to remain uncomfortable. Konkona is seen playing the character of an oppressed housewife apart from being a mother of three kids. She leads the alternate life of an enterprising saleswoman, while Ratna Pathak is seen playing a 55-year-old widow who rediscovers her sexuality by getting into sex talks. You can find Plabita playing the character of a college girl who struggles with the issues of cultural identity and aspires to be a pop singer.
