Kajol and Ajay Devgn need no introduction. They got married 18 years back and till date continue to have one of the most rock solid marriages in Bollywood. The last year saw a lot of splits and divorces in Bollywood, some of which we hadn’t even expected. It all started with Hrithik Roshan announcing his divorce with Susanne, and later Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar followed the trail. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif broke up after dating for a good 6 years, and the reason behind the split is still unknown to us. At times like these when our favorite Bollywood couples are parting ways, here’s Kajol and Ajay Devgn who are going strong and are winning our hearts.
Ajay Devgn is busy shooting for Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film ‘Golmaal Again’, which is the fourth installment of the superhit Golmaal series. In an interview to Pinkvilla recently, Kajol has bared it all. She shared her views about marriages these days and what sets her marriage to Ajay apart from all the other crumbling ones. The ‘Dilwale’ actress said, “I think we’re losing tolerance (and no, it’s not an intolerance remark btw) it’s about losing patience. We’re just losing willingness to go that little bit far ahead or to give people their second chance.” And we cannot agree with her more.
She also said, “We don’t give any benefit of doubt to our partner anymore. Today, we’re just waiting for the person to make a mistake so that we can pounce on him and tell, ‘hey now I am one up there. Now you see.’ I think marriages and relationships cannot be like that if they have to be successful!” She also went on to add that how the fact that she and Ajay are best friends first works like magic for her marriage. She also revealed that it is Ajay’s calm nature that’s mostly the secret behind their happy marriage. She has been quoted saying, “I think our relationship has worked only because I speak a lot and he quietly listens. So the secret to our happy married life is that Ajay doesn’t say much.”
We wish the couple a lifetime of togetherness and hoping their marriage remains as solid as ever!
